If your dog belongs to the latter group, there's nothing to correct about it. It's a deeply ingrained nesting instinct that a dog carries within them, regardless of breed or age.

Luna Orthopedic with a burrow is a bed designed precisely for such dogs. It combines in one product what a dog instinctively seeks – a confined, dark space providing a sense of security – with what its joints and spine need: true memory foam.

A burrow that acts as a safe haven

The entrance to the burrow is wide enough for the dog to freely enter and exit, yet intimate enough for the interior to provide a real sense of shelter. Anxious dogs, those hypersensitive to sounds, those who struggle with storms, fireworks, or the presence of guests – they naturally calm down in the burrow because the environment corresponds to how their brain understands a "safe place."

Memory foam inside – not an adornment, but the core of the product

Under the burrow and mattress cover, a multi-layered foam system is at work: standard polyurethane foam as a base, topped with a layer of visco memory foam. Visco reacts to body heat – it slowly deforms under the dog's weight, fills the spaces between joints, and evenly distributes pressure across the entire contact surface. For a dog with hip dysplasia, post-surgery, in old age, or simply with a large body mass – this is a difference noticeable after the very first night.

The thickness of the visco layer is adapted to the size of the bed: smaller sizes have 3 cm of visco foam, larger ones have 5 cm. The bigger the dog, the deeper the mattress, which can truly support its weight without flattening after a few weeks.

Non-slip bottom – a detail that matters

The bottom of the mattress is made of non-slip fabric. Luna does not slide on panels, tiles, or floorboards. A dog rushing into the burrow will not push the entire bed against the wall – and if you've ever had a bed without a non-slip bottom, you know how much this means in practice.
